Compassion Unchained was born from a profound commitment to animal welfare and a passion to mitigate systemic animal abuses. Our founder and attorney, Robyn Pekala, holds a JD from Harvard Law School and pursued specialized legal training in Animal Law at Lewis & Clark Law School, earning her LLM summa cum laude in 2024. Driven by an ambition to effect positive change, she established Compassion Unchained with a singular mission: to promote compassion and ethical treatment for animals
